Twitter is a great place to talk about everything under the Sun and this year too, many matters were discussed, arguments took place, some celebrities were praised while few others were abused and trolled.
In the recent times, Twitter was flooded with tweets about Deepika Padukone’s upcoming movie “Padmavati” and Bigg Boss 11, the reality show which is hosted by Salman Khan.
Padmavati attracted controversies from the very beginning of its shooting as the sets were vandalised and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali was also manhandled. The Rajput groups are demanding complete ban on the film and some leaders have gone to the extent of announcing prize money on beheading Deepika and Bhansali.
However, when Twitter did some research and categorised the top 10 topics which trended during 2017, you will be surprised to see that someone has left behind the Mastani and Sultan of Bollywood.
The top hashtag under the entertainment category is neither Padmavati nor Bigg Boss 11 but it is Prabhas starrer “Baahubali 2” which has broken all the box-office records after its release in 2017.
The second most trended hashtag is Bigg Boss 11 and third one is Vijay Joseph starrer Tamil movie “Mersal” which was loved by the southern star’s fans but heavily criticised by the BJP leaders for misleading the public.
